Denzel Washington stars as a Robert McCall in his latest movie, The Equalizer. McCall is a former black ops agent turned modern day vigilante in the action thriller by Sony Pictures. McCall walks away from his past life to live a more normal one. He was quietly working at a home improvement store when a young lady that he befriends, Terri (Chloe Grace Mortez), who is under the control of the Russian mob, is brutally attacked by the mob. This sets off a war with the mob and McCall can’t sit idly by and see the helpless being unjustifiably hurt, so he becomes the defender of those who can’t defend themselves. He becomes the Equalizer.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, The Equalizer also stars Melissa Leo, Bill Pullman and E. Roger Mitchell.
The Equalizer opens in theaters September 26, 2014.
