If you are looking for a movie that’s full of action but will also have you laughing your socks off, then Ride Along is your perfect go-see-date-night movie. According to Entertainment Weekly, it is a virtual smash at the box office, raking in a whopping $41.2 million opening weekend.
Starring the hilarious Kevin Hart, and the ever so serious Ice Cube, and set in Atlanta, the movie tells the story of a former high school security guard turned police academy recruit (Hart) out to prove he is worthy of marrying a hard edged cop’s (Ice Cube) sister (Tika Sumpter). Ice Cube’s character, Atlanta PD detective, James, invites the new recruit, Ben (Hart) on a 24 hour ride-along in hopes of scaring the living daylights out of him. What ensues on the Tim Story directed film (Think Like A Man, Barbershop) is nothing short of rib tickling comedy and action.
