The Shack Scores Big At The Box Office

The Shack movie posterFaith-based movie The Shack was released last week and  scored big at the box office bringing over $16 million. The Shack came in third behind the thriller Get Out which held the number two spot. The sci-fi picture Logan won the coveted number one position this past weekend at the box office.

The Shack is based on the best selling book by William P. Young. It is the story of a man who suffers a tremendous loss and goes and hides away from the world in a shack in a remote location where he talks to God and questions him about the unbearable tragedy that befell his life. The Lionsgate film cast includes Sam Worthington in the lead role as Mack, Octavia Spencer (Papa), Tim McGraw (Willie), Megan Charpentier (Kate Phillips), Gage Monroe (Josh Phillips) and Radha Mitchell (Nan Phillips).

Stuart Hazeldine directed The Shack, bringing to life this touching story that will tug at your heartstrings and pull on your faith. The Shack is a family entertainment and faith-based film worth the cost of your movie ticket. Go see it and let it ignite your spirit of overcoming in your life.
