8th Annual New Media Film Festival Opens in LA June 6

8th Annual new Media Film FestivalThe 8th Annual New Media Film Festival will take place June 6-8, 2017  in Los Angeles at The Landmark. Founder/Director, Susan Johnston New Media Film Festival assures that the New Media Film Festival impresses international audiences annually with diverse genres and cutting edge methods of storytelling. from web series, 3D, 360, AR, AI to 5D extravaganzas. Filmmakers are invited to submit their films to more than 20 categories. The deadline to enter is Tuesday, April 25th.

The New Media Film Festival brings together industry professionals and content creators across Film, TV, Games, Publishing, Mobile, Web and Technology. The festival features the Best of New Media. It includes: 3D, 360, AR, AI, 5D, documentary, drone, feature, pilots, student, made on mobile/tablet, music video, new media, new media scripts, Sniplers – 30 second pitch, socially responsible content(SRC), science, web series (STEAM), virtual reality, shorts, trailers, animation, apps, and digital comics.

Panels of judges from HBO, Marvel, 3D International Society, ATAS, BMI, The Emmys, The Grammys and more are set to participate.

Submissions are being accepted from all Media of various lengths, different ages and completed by Dates & Distributed Content. Each submission is considered from Screening, Competition ($45,000 in Awards) and/or Distribution. Student discounts are available.

Johnston said, “We have a mandate to be fair to all filmmaker’s submission. We ‘push play’ and I personally see every submission.”

There will be amazing Panel discussions by the best experts in the industry, coupled with demos that will highlight New Technology, Financing & Monetization, the Convergence of Media and where Traditional Media meets New Media.

Lin. Woods is a veteran faith based entertainment writer, editor, voice over talent and children's book author. As a writer and editor, she's written for Urban Network, urbannetwork.com, ABC Radio Networks. SHe is the author. of two children's books, Kenny Can: Don't Judge Me and See Me Not My Color: Another Kenny Can Life Lesson Story. Her work history includes positions at Warner Bros. Records, Ice Capades and Lorimar Telepictures/Warner Brothers Television. Woods is also a former radio personality and current voice over artist who has worked at iHeart Radio St. Louis and as a syndicated radio host and producer for Lee Bailey Communications' international syndicated Inside Gospel Entertainment News radio show. Woods is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Fisk University-Nashville, TN. She earned a Master of Arts in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University.
