Rest In Power – The Trayvon Martin Story airs July 30, 2018 10p.m. ET on the Paramount Network. Executive Produced by Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, Rest In Power is a six part docu-series that tells the story of what happened to the slain teen Trayvon Martin that lead to his loss of life at the hands of supposed neighborhood watch person George Zimmerman, who was accused of killing the young man who was out that night in a Florida neighborhood buying snacks.

The nation ignited in protests from coast to coast when Zimmerman was not convicted of murdering Martin, even though he did shoot the unarmed teen. He was instead set free.

Rest In Power features interviews with Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, as well as notables at Rev. Al Sharpton and the family Attorney Benjamin Crump. Trayvon Martin’s death fueled the Black Lives Matter Movement and stirred up emotions for thousands to fight against injustice all across the country. At a number of the rallies you could here the chant coming from participants, “I Am Trayvon Martin.” I know because I participated in one of those rallies in St. Louis, MO in 2012.

Check out the trailer and tune in on Monday, July 30 at 10/9pm CT.
