The glam, the stars, and the sisterhood were on full display as BET+ rolled out the red carpet in Atlanta and Houston to celebrate the highly anticipated premiere of Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas, now streaming exclusively on BET+.
This drama-filled new eight-episode spin-off of Perry’s hit series Sistas follows five dynamic women Rasheda, Geneva, Naomi, Tiffany, and Bridgette, as they journey through life after love. Balancing careers, co-parenting, and the complexities of friendship, the women lean on each other as they navigate the realities of divorce, dating, and rediscovering themselves.
The ensemble cast includes: LeToya Luckett (Rasheeda), Khadeen Indréa (Geneva), Porscha Coleman (Naomi), Briana Price (Tiffany), Jennifer Sears (Bridgette), RonReaco Lee (William), DeVon Franklin (Pastor Jeff), Donovan Christie Jr. (Franklin), and Robert Christopher Riley (Javon).
Written, directed, and executive produced by Tyler Perry, the series dives into themes of heartbreak and healing, testing the bonds of loyalty and the true essence of sisterhood.
Star-Studded Launch Parties in Houston and Atlanta
To kick off the show’s debut, two luxe launch events brought out celebrities, influencers, and VIPs.
Houston’s celebration took place at the chic Bungalow Downtown Dining on July 1st, where a crowd of influencers and VIPs enjoyed signature cocktails and stylish vibes. Notables in attendance included Devale Ellis, Muneera Paige, Karen Johnson, DJ Supastar, Xandi, and Sunni The Rapper. The evening was hosted by Houston rapper/actress Jazz Anderson.
A week earlier, Atlanta’s launch party lit up the all-new Retreat by The Gathering Spot on June 23rd. Hosted by V-103 radio personality Jazzy McBee, the event attracted a who’s who of ATL culture, including T.I., Big Tigger, Derek J, AJ Calloway, Alex Jacke, and Rudy Currence. Guests mixed, mingled, and previewed scenes from the groundbreaking series.
