Here’s the story, teens mysteriously develop powers. The government sees them as dangerous and declares the children a threat and detain the teens.
Sixteen-year-old Ruby (Amandla Stenberg), one of the most powerful young people anyone has encountered, escapes her camp and joins a group of runaway teens seeking a safe place. With the adults seeking to control the children, the young people collectively decide they must fight back in order to regain control of their future in this its adults versus kids flick.
Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and produced by Shawn Levy and Dan Levine, The Darkest Minds also stars Bradley Whitford, Harris Dickinson, Patrick Gibson, Skylan Brooks, Miya Cech, and Gwendoline Christie.
