Sinners Wanted premieres on TV One today at 4p.m. EST. The faith-based movie arrives just in time for the Easter season with encore airings Saturday, April 11 at 12 p.m. EST and Easter Sunday at 4 p.m.
Grammy nominated and Stellar Award winning gospel recording artist Anthony Brown serves as a producer of this film that imparts grace and forgiveness. Additionally, Grammy-winning recording artist Tosha Cobbs Leonard is a part of the cast. The Sinners Wanted star studded cast also includes: Lamman Rucker, Traci Braxton, Clifton Powell, Kenneth Wayne, Ashley Rios, Roland Martin, Joseph Curtis Calendar, Hope Blackstock, Tiana Melvina Woods and Nasir Rhamim.
Sinners Wanted is the story of Leo Shepherd (Kenneth Wayne), the newly appointed young, enthusiastic pastor from Macon, GA at Grace Community Church in Washington, DC. Upon Leo’s arrival to his new job Pastor Shepherd immediately encounters Gigi (Ashley Rios), a prostitute in the area. They develop a relationship that leads to an unexpected love. The pastor asks Gigi to marry him. As you could imagine, this just does not sit well with certain traditional thinking, some might call them judgmental, church members who refuse to accept Leo’s choice for a bride who would then become the “First Lady” of their church.
